I keep hearing people saying about film prices: "Actually, it's not that expensive if you consider inflation.". That sounded optimistic to me, so I checked my history at B&H and compared it to today.

2004: 10 rolls of Tri-X = $26.85
$26.85 adjusted for US inflation should be around $45.00 in 2024. Close enough.
2024: 10 rolls of Tri-X = $89.90

Am I missing something? Maybe if one does the math starting in 1950 or something, but that's not relevant to my experience.
