I have an old (2018) Kobo Forma that stopped working. It's been in a drawer, but it was bugging me, so I took it out. It froze completely. I finally got it reset (hold power and page buttons for 10s), but it refused to connect to any WiFi. Plugged it in to my Mac, and dragged the latest firmware update i could find onto it. It rebooted, initialized, connected, and I'm back in action. Love that.
